There are around 60,000 direct jobs, of which 80% are in the agricultural sector of the sugar cane agribusiness, with worker benefits similar to those in the country’s most advanced urban centers.
The group of cooperative production units annually applies tens of thousands of reais to activities related to health, education, nutrition, recreation and other social ends.
In the Cooperative directly, almost 500 employees benefit from medical assistance, educational assistance for children and dependents, study grants, and participation in company results. Copersucar has a broad training program for the professional growth and development of its employees.
